Summer's here, time for a beach bag or 5

I've been busy making beach bags over the last three weeks so boy was I pleased to see the sun this week!
Just what I needed for a photo shoot and an excuse for the beach.
I knew where I wanted to photograph them...
Lyme Regis on the beach huts of course!
Want to have a look?
First up is this lovely stripy towelling with seagulls.
As you can see three of them are waiting for ribbon for their rosettes. I was hoping it would arrive on Friday so I could get them finished but unfortunately not.
They will all be finished like this!
Fishy towelling lined in blue pvc ready for your wet cossie.
My own not so little model helped me set up the photos.
We found the perfect pink chair for this pink and grey bag.
The red one is a pre order (I'm beginning to see the instant joy of Facebooking).
But I think I've got one more.
And last but not least a one off.
I couldn't resist buying this fun piece of towelling at The Vintage Bazaar last Saturday.
 Just enough for one bag!
So which one is your favourite?

All bags are interfaced for strength and lined in plastic. I'm also thinking that stuffed with your clothes they'll make a comfy pillow too.
And of course I'm going to tell you I'm about to pop them in my Etsy shop this evening!
Have a sunny week

Enid Blyton Part II

Before we headed off last week to do the second part of Enid Blyton trail we needed some refreshments. Refreshments of the old fashioned sugary variety. We were in Corfe Castle to catch a train and popped into the old fashioned sweet shop.
What a choice!
Bonbons proved popular.
Next stop the Ginger Pop shop, dedicated to Enid Blyton. It even had a Wishing Chair outside in case you were in need of some magic.
We carefully perused the windows for the next clue.
Then off to the little station and this is where I probably need to explain I am definitely not a trainspotter. I just got a bit carried away with photographing all the lovely old fashioned 'stuff'.
However that is not to say that I did not love that little station.
The colours.
The cute neat and tidiness of it all.
The view to the castle beyond.
Then it arrived. Our transport for the day!
A good old steam train.
We were riding the Swanage Railway in search of our next clue.
Destination sunny Swanage.

More Fortes icecreams to be enjoyed.
Little Jammer had her first taste of Punch and Judy
and shrieked with surprise and laughter.
Sorry about the finger - bad photographer!
Still 2 clues to go...

After rain

When deciding what to call this post I was reminded of these lyrics -
After rain, after rain
We can walk in green fields once again
 by the Oysterband
One of my favourite bands - just had to have a little listen whilst I typed.

So the weekend saw the sun arrive in Dorset and Littlest Jammer led us on a Sunday morning walk.
My sister was visiting from Amsterdam and is training for a trekking trip in October.
 The remains of the temple.
 View back toward Dorchester.
 The remains of the flood.
Little Jammer got a very very tall shoulder ride down.
Another blankety bunny making his way to Holland for baby Stan!
And the sun continues to shine...
I took the jammers and a little friend to Weymouth on the train yesterday.
Although I'm not a fan of busy beaches it was just so nice to be able to go and to have to get the suncream out!
More sun and sea tomorrow I hope!

Continuing the colour one

More of my favourite colours today in chilly Charmouth.
Trying to blow away the germs that have taken my youngest jammer's school by storm.

We waited on the beach for a VIP - very important phonecall.
Good news of the impulsive blue variety. Hopefully photos to follow soon but I don't want to tempt fate.

Loved these steps that had been eroded by the sea - a bit like going down stairs after a few too many drinks!
Goodnight!
